Account Coordinator

Buzz Monkeys is looking for an ambitious self-starter to fill the open position of Account Coordinator. Are you a creative organized person with a passion for marketing communications? If so, join our team and gain experience working with some of the best people in the business. The Account Coordinator will gain experience working in all aspects of marketing and communications from brand strategy and planning to tactical execution.

Our ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of marketing or public relations experience, strong writing, organizational and interpersonal skills and a positive and teamwork-oriented personality. The ability to learn quickly and multitask in a fast-paced environment is also required.

Job duties will include:

• Performs research and market analysis activities on a variety of tasks and topics, summarizes key findings to agency leaders and clients. 
• Uses industry tools and resources to build and update media lists, databases, reports and other deliverables. 
• Assists in the development of content including press releases, pitches, articles, media alerts and other press materials. 
• Effectively utilizes social media to identify market trends, news and writes social media content. 
• Assists in distributing information to local, regional and national media, and develops relationships on our clients’ behalf to secure coverage for our clients. 
• Supports the agency team and contributing to a positive, productive work environment.
• Performs other duties in support of team and agency activities.

Qualifications:

• Strong desire to learn 
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Passion and understanding of marketing, public relations, social media 
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field 
• 1-2 years of previous related work experience strongly preferred
