What you will do:

As an Account Development Representative, you will be directly responsible for successfully building our customer base. Under the direction of the Channel Sales Manager, you will develop relationships with accounts and provide necessary supportrt to exceed established business objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate account coverage, sales figures and account trends in collaboration with Account Reps in territory. Following 80/20 matrix of account analysis, develop a personal rapport and develop annual plan to deliver on sales objectives for your top 80% accounts to include support of complete Andis product line; develop presentations for accounts. 
  • Mediate and resolve situations that can occur including but not limited to pricing, credit & credit lines, product deliveries, problems Reps have with accounts, and customer service problems with reps and accounts, consulting with Channel Sales Manager when needed. 
  • Create plan for placement of new items in defined list of accounts. 
  • Coordinate and implementing advertising with all accounts. 
  • Collaborate with marketing dept. to create custom advertising, selling/signage materials for accounts as needed. 
  • Attend scheduled sales meetings to share your product knowledge with distributor field sales people and store managers. 
  • Require that tools furnished by Andis, such as samples, literature, co-op advertising, spiffs, etc., are being used properly. 
  • Direct Reps to carry samples with them when presenting new items. 
  • Review possible changes or variations to standard Andis Company pricing and advertising programs to Channel Manager. Communicate industry trends including but not limited to new product opportunities, product enhancements, and competitive activities. 
  • Recommend changes in Andis policies where sales and profitability can be improved. 
  • Determine monthly travel schedule and communicate with appropriate representatives; manage travel expenses within budget; following proper expense procedures. Investigate potential customer opportunities while traveling within territory, detail customer outlet stores and chain accounts. 
  • Maintain personal or telephone contact with service stations, schools, and accounts where it is advantageous to have a personal relationship.

What we are looking for:

  • A recent college graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or other related field, and/or up to two years of professional work experience. Cosmetology degree is helpful. 
  • An excellent communicator with personable and outgoing personality. 
  • Ability to uphold Andis Core Values of Excellence, Integrity and Respect. 
  • A goal-driven individual who is self-motivated to perform to successfully achieve company goals. 
  • Strong PC skills (Email, Excel, Word and Power Point). 
  • Ability for regular travel, up to 60% at times. 
  • Must have a current, valid Driver’s License (with record acceptable to our insurance. 
  • This position is based out of Racine, WI.
