As a WALKER SANDS COMMUNICATIONS Account Director, you will work with a team of passionate PR pros at your back, you’ll get to manage the accounts of 5-6 technology and B2B clients: nurturing client relationships, developing strategy, forging influential media contacts – basically, doing whatever it takes to drive meaningful PR outcomes for our clients.

Along the way, you will participate in our firms’ culture of constant learning, accumulating valuable lessons from the bleeding edge of the field and swapping insights with people both inside and outside of the firm.

The Perfect Candidate for Walker Sands

For the Account Director role, we’re looking for people with 4-6 years of agency PR experience, preferably in the fields of technology and/or B2B. We also expect that you will have experience managing accounts and staff since this position will require you to supervise a team of two Account Executive and their junior PR team members.

A bachelor’s degree in a related field and a strong knowledge base in the areas of technology, social media, marketing and PR are prerequisites. When it comes to personal characteristics, you need to be extremely articulate, organized, detail-oriented, creative and ambitious.

And you need to have fantabulous writing skills. A background in journalism isn’t a deal-breaker, but it certainly doesn’t hurt, either.
