Boelter + Lincoln is seeking an Account Executive (AE) to be responsible for day-to-day management of assigned accounts, manage and coordinate client projects and take an active role in all disciplines (marketing, creative, media, research, production, database) from planning to completion. AE will serve as the daily contact between the agency and the client, effectively execute strategies, problem-solve, and develop solid business relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides account team with timely/accurate market data, budget limits, job specifications, marketing direction and completion due dates 
  • Reviews all materials before client presentations/final production 
  • Maintains accurate records of client expenditures, time utilization, billing information, client contacts, status reports, etc. 
  • Prudent use of agency resources 
  • Prepares realistic billing forecasts and pursues overdue invoices 
  • Keeps supervision informed of/involved with client activities/problems 
  • Handles special projects as assigned 
  • Develops in-depth expertise in client’s business and markets 
  • Familiarity with and adherence to agency financial and operating procedures and policy 
  • Builds rapport and credibility with client based on trust and expert counsel 
  • Participates in internal activities of client 
  • Involves account team in client contact to the extent of client needs and profitability 
  • Organizes/spearheads client presentations 
  • Obtains client approval of media production estimates 
  • Stays alert for opportunities to grow client business and billings, prudent use of agency resources 

Measures of Accountability:

  • Satisfactory levels of gross income/profitability on assigned accounts 
  • Cooperative relationships within the account team and with supervisor 
  • Client satisfaction with agency support in achieving marketing objectives 
  • Work completion within budget and time parameters 
  • Client satisfaction ratings are high 
  • No major misunderstandings or problems exist between agency and client 
  • As problems arise, they are proactively and satisfactorily dealt with in accordance with company policy 
  • Client marketing and advertising objectives are achieved 
  • Annual communication plans are prepared and approved by clients 
  • Annual competitive media spending and creative message review is presented to client All Job Orders are approved by clients All estimates are approved by clients 
  • Clients are profitable 
  • Creative, PR and Media staff morale is positive toward clients
  • Minimum of 3 years agency experience required 
  • Bachelor’s Degree required 
  • Advertising, Marketing, Business or related degree preferred 
  • Team leader, team player 
  • Passion for creative excellence, strategic accuracy and measured results 
  • Strong in written, verbal and listening communication skills with the ability to present to C level clients 
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing
