C. Blohm & Associates, Inc. (CB&A), is seeking an experienced, highly organized, results driven full-time Account Executive to join our team. We have a passion for marketing communications specializing in the U.S. education market. With unlimited PTO, a community giving program and an always learning culture, CB&A offers a flexible and purpose-driven work environment in Madison, WI. We will consider a remote opportunity for self-starters with a preferred location of reasonably local to the Madison area (WI, MN, IA, or IL residents) to allow for occasional travel to the office for agency meetings and activities.

  • Client Account Management: Create and execute marketing communications campaigns for assigned clients. Develop and manage marketing campaigns that strategically manage client resources while achieving stated goals. Manage day-to-day client communications. Anticipate and elevate potential client issues.
  • Marketing: Manage the creation and execution of marketing communications campaigns including email marketing, ambassador programs, event management, media relations, thought leadership, content marketing, social media engagement and advertising. 
  • Communication: Supervise writing of marketing materials. Advise regarding campaign execution and audience engagement. 
  • Strategic Management: Assist in strategic planning and budgeting, including annual client goals. Offer opinions and perspective of how marketing supports business goals and objectives. 
  • Client Retention: Achieve client goals, nurture relationships and secure contract renewals. 
  • Revenue Generation: Achieve individual revenue generation goals, maximize client budgets and upsell clients. 
  • Team Mentor: Serve as mentor and communicate with co-workers, entry-level employees, temps, and interns by guiding, training and directing daily work activities. 
  • Consultation: Collaborate with agency leadership to provide strategic counsel to client liaisons regarding marketing communications opportunities. 
  • Business Networking/Relationships: Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients and prospects, industry VIPs, and media and bloggers. Foster relationships within the Madison-area marketing community. Exemplify the CB&A brand at all times. 
  • Event Coordination: Plan and supervise company and client activities at industry trade shows, media interviews and special events. Occasional overnight travel may be required. 
  • Confidentiality: Display a high level of integrity by maintaining the confidence of proprietary information. Protect all tangible and intangible company assets.

To be successful in this opportunity, an Account Executive will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or equivalent work experience 
  • At least 3 years relevant work experience in an account service role responsible for client and/or marketing communications 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a client team and serve as a mentor with the ability to foster teamwork in a collaborative environment 
  • Previous work experience creating and managing project budgets 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, portraying a high degree of professionalism 
  • High level of attention to detail and strong customer service skills with demonstrated relationship building skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and to provide strategic insight and analysis to solve problems 
  • Ability to use discretion and judgment in dealing with sensitive and confidential information 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
