The Account Executive is a leader charged with pursuing the success and happiness of our clients. This role is expected to quickly learn our clients’ business and become intimately familiar with the factors that drive our clients toward success. The Account Executive is focused on, and mindful of, opportunities to impact and help drive the professional and personal success of each of our individual client contacts. Making our clients look like heroes in the eyes of their colleagues is central to our success.
The Account Executive is not only expected to lead our client engagements, but to also act as a pillar of support, strategy and encouragement for the entire team working on their accounts. This role is critical on several fronts: ensuring client success, as well as preserving the MKR team’s enthusiasm about client work. The Account Executive must be a capable personnel manager, with team-building skills and mentoring abilities.
The Account Executive is an extraordinary communicator both internally and externally. Honesty, transparency and proactiveness are the most important aspects of this role. In addition, we seek and want to support those with a hard-wired capacity and demonstrated tendency to give credit to all others on the team, internally and externally, while refraining from any credit-seeking behavior on their own.
The Account Executive proactively identifies opportunities to grow relationships with our clients by helping them solve their problems, and ensuring the agency is appropriately and profitably compensated for those solutions. The ability to be both persuasive and helpful is vital to success in this aspect of the role.
