The Account Manager is a full-time, exempt position within our strategic marketing and communications consultancy. This role serves as an account and project manager for assigned clients in collaboration with senior consultants, providing exceptional marketing, communications, and fund development planning and execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing communications, fund development, project management, and relationship building, with experience cultivating community partnerships.
This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and knowledge of marketing, fundraising, and donor engagement principles. The successful candidate will use these skills to develop and implement innovative, purpose-driven solutions that deliver meaningful results for our clients and company. This role also contributes to business development and ensures O’Connor Connective remains an active, engaged partner in the Northeast Wisconsin community. The Account Manager works closely with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
Account Management – 75% - Collaborate with senior consultants to manage project details, deliverables, and client requests. Support daily client communication to build strong relationships and ensure successful outcomes. Organize and participate in client meetings, planning sessions, and retreats. Use project management systems to track projects from start to finish. Ensure creative deliverables—copy, design, photography, videography—are on brand and aligned with client messaging. Work with the President and Production Manager to prioritize work, allocate resources, assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure seamless execution. Develop project estimates in partnership with senior consultants and the Production Director and present them to clients.
Marketing Communication Strategy and Implementation – 25% - Support marketing, fund development, and campaign strategies to drive client goals. Partner with senior consultants to develop campaign plans and identify key performance indicators (KPIs). Help manage campaigns and contribute to creative planning and execution. Conduct audits in marketing, communications, and fund development. Assist with market research projects, including feasibility studies, focus groups, surveys, and analysis. Measure and report on campaign effectiveness using relevant metrics and data sources, and recommend improvements. Research client-related issues, trends, and industry developments. Edit and proofread client materials. Contribute to O’Connor Connective’s collaborative culture and support the team as needed based on skills and capacity.
