The Planning team’s role is to contribute to drive client business by crafting meaningful insights borne from a holistic understanding of our target audiences [Consumer, Patient, Caregiver, HCP, Payer]. We utilize primary and secondary market research to identify conscious and subconscious barriers and drivers to motivate meaningful attitudinal and behavioral change.

By integrating target insights with and understanding of market dynamics and product benefits, we lead development of brand positioning and brand stories that resonate with our priority targets. Our insights and strategies fuel creative ideas that directly impact in-market results.

The Planner serves as “point person” leading planning functions on smaller accounts and supports the integrated strategist on larger brands.

Planners are provided with ongoing supervision and mentoring by Planning Director/VP Planning.

Role Essentials:

  • Target Identification: deep understanding of target attitudes, beliefs and behavior 
  • Insight Mining: expertise in uncovering and utilizing target insights 
  • Market research: ability to leverage market research to uncover learnings and insights, proficiency in variety of research methodology 
  • Storytelling & creative inspiration: continue developing verbal, writing and presentation skills 
  • Pharma-proficiency: ability to get up to speed quickly on new therapeutic areas

Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning-focused projects on supported brands, including market research, insight mining, audience narratives, customer journeys, and positioning development 
  • Lead insight, positioning, and messaging workshops 
  • Author/support authorship of creative briefs 
  • Lead inspiring creative briefings 
  • Evaluate creative output through the target-lens
  • 3-4 years prior agency experience [at least 1-2 years in Planning] 
  • Bachelor’s degree [preference for social sciences, marketing, communication, sciences] 
  • Pharmaceutical experience a plus 
  • Must be innately curious about human behavior 
  • Must have an interest in health & wellness
