Account Planning & Management Intern

We are seeking a curious, committed and willing to learn individual to join our Account Planning & Management team. The successful candidate will possess a highly organized nature, excellent written and oral communications skills, and attention to detail. As an Account Planning & Management Intern, you will have the opportunity to support the planning, execution and timely completion of a variety of project types across a broad client roster. You’ll support cross-departmental agency communication through key project functions including drafting project briefs, participating in reviews and routing feedback and revisions. You’ll also be responsible for drafting and editing client-facing materials using templated presentation documents.

Additionally, you’ll gain experience in strategic campaign planning and optimization by conducting secondary marketing research, gathering performance metrics and sharing your findings with the internal team. You’ll work collaboratively with other departments to interpret and apply findings to our strategy, develop key performance takeaways and identify opportunities to optimize.

Job Functions:

Specific daily expectations and assignment could include the following:

  • Maintaining client-facing status reports
  • Documenting and distributing meeting notes and conference reports
  • QA testing emails and websites
  • Updating project billing summaries
  • Proofreading
  • Formatting and clean-up of client facing materials
  • Completing and updating campaign deliverable summaries
  • Packaging client-provided materials and routing to the internal media team
  • Pulling metrics and updating spreadsheet/dashboard
  • Pulling creative examples from media
  • Routing creative, input and reviews – both with internal team and light client communication
  • Coordination with team members
  • Drafting project or input briefs
  • Interpreting campaign metrics and drafting key observations
  • Drafting proposal documents including scopes of work
  • Estimating projects and tasks through coordination with project managers
  • Preparing competitive analyses

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and basic design skills for client presentations and formatting documents
  • Ability to multi-task, stay organized and proactively adhere to deadlines
  • Understanding of marketing communication, strategy and business objectives
  • Basic math and statistics for billing and marketing analysis
  • Proofreading capabilities
  • Sound knowledge in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Reader
  • Some experience in marketing automation software and/or analytics preferred (Marketo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, GA, Adobe Analytics)

Education:

  • Working towards or recently graduated from a degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business Administration or related field
  •  Seeking roughly 25 hours/week over the summertime months (June-August). Flexibility in scheduling can be discussed during the interview process.
  • This is a paid position.
