The Health teamhasan exciting opportunity for an Account Supervisor to help manage communications and marketing initiatives for a leading diagnostics company. The role offers direct engagement with clients, partnership with Edelman’s integrated specialty disciplines, and exposure across the Health practice and broader Edelman network.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as day-to-day client contact; partner with account leads and specialty groups to address client needs quickly, thoughtfully, and effectively 
  • Oversee operational performance of accounts, ensuring quality work, timeline, and budget adherence 
  • Play a major role in creation of communications plans and goals; ensure tactical programs are carried out that track toward them 
  • Integrate with cross-functional colleagues, including Digital, Planning, and Creative, to elevate programming 
  • Demonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving both traditional and social media outreach plans 
  • Manage development and editing of written content for healthcare professionals and consumers 
  • Consistently partner with junior staff and account team leadership to produce high-quality work product 
  • Oversee account junior staff by motivating, coaching, and consistently providing timely and actionable feedback 
  • Contribute to business growth through introducing clients to new capabilities, building network of industry contacts, and participating in relevant professional organizations

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least four years of full-time experience in public relations and/or related fields including advertising, management consulting, and media 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (public relations, communications, English, advertising, journalism, business)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent storytelling, writing and presentation skills 
  • Experience serving as a daily client contact 
  • Management and leadership skills, as well as a proven track record of success in executing fast-moving, large-scale campaigns at the strategic and tactical level 
  • Ability to manage budgets and timelines on sizable pieces of business to achieve client goals 
  • Experience with and knowledge of social and earned media, particularly in the health sector

$67,000 - $94,000 a year.

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
