The Waukesha County Business Alliance, Inc., a private, member-driven organization, has been the voice of business since its founding in 1918 as the Waukesha Association of Commerce. Initially established to serve the Waukesha business community, the Alliance has evolved into a countywide chamber of commerce representing over 1,200 member businesses and community organizations. Its mission is to drive economic growth in Waukesha County and the region by fostering a vibrant business community through four key areas: Advocate, Develop, Network, and Promote.

Position Details

Administrative Intern
Southeast Wisconsin
Waukesha, WI

This is a paid internship, requiring approximately 10-15 hours per week.  The internship will include administrative and general office tasks, in addition to assisting our business and education team with prep for school tours and expos.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assemble and collate member packets.
  • Prepare name tags for events and programs (execute mail merges using Microsoft Excel and Word).
  • Update data in the Alliance’s database.
  • Assist our business and education department to prep for school tours and expos; prepping equipment, mapping locations and creating schedules, entering survey data, etc.
  • Set up conference rooms and assist with meeting prep.
  • Other tasks and projects as assigned.
  • Friendly, creative, and motivated individual who is willing to help with the many facets of a business association.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple ongoing projects.
  • Planning/problem-solving skills.
