Credit Union Story, a small advertising & marketing firm specializing in the promotion of credit union products and services, is seeking an Advertising Copywriter & Design Specialist with exceptional storytelling skills in all forms of media, a great aptitude for design, and expertise in the creative development process from idea generation to final product.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Generate ideas for digital, broadcast and print advertising, and for social media content
  • Write/edit compelling ad copy, audio/video scripts, captions, content, etc. (every ad tells a story)
  • Design digital and print advertising using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Assist with, and sometimes manage, the creative process for assigned projects
  • Assist with, and sometimes lead, the development of creative strategies
  • Ensure client brand standards are followed in the creative development process
  • Proof materials for accuracy of spelling, grammar, use of brand elements
  • Assist with, and oversee, periodic transcription work
  • Manage deadlines and timelines
  • Effectively communicate/meet with clients regarding campaign strategies and solutions
  • Review creative work for quality
  • Troubleshoot and provide thoughtful feedback to creative team
  • Effectively communicate with staff – know how to bring about the best in people and effectively collaborate
  • Occasional travel to client sites to assist with testimonial recordings
  • Wear the many hats a small agency requires – no job is too menial – we all do what has to be done

 

  • BA/BS in marketing, business, communications or related business field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2-3 years professional marketing/advertising experience
  • Previous work in digital design, copywriting, scriptwriting
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software, Google Docs, Microsoft Office
  • Stellar communication, presentation, problem-solving and project management skills
  • Professional experience utilizing social media platforms – Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, etc.
  • Ability to inspire creativity and effectively collaborate
  • Able to juggle many projects and meet deadlines
  • Possess great marketing sense (knows, and can feel, what works and what’s compelling)
  • Able to generate innovative ideas that move products and services
  • Must be an excellent writer, speller and proofer
  • Must be organized and exceptionally detail-oriented
  • Must be highly service-oriented
  • Credit union industry marketing experience a plus
  • Previous experience in audio/video production/direction a plus
