POSITION SUMMARY:

At Grant Thornton, we aren’t about the status quo – we’re all about status go! This is especially true in Advisory Services, the firm’s fastest growing service line. We are seeking a dynamic, creative, experienced Marketing senior associate to join our team to drive the marketing strategy and execute high-impact campaigns for the Advisory service line. Core services within Advisory include Business Consulting, Corporate Value Consulting, Cyber Risk, Risk Advisory, Strategic Solutions, and Transaction Advisory services.

As an integral part of the Advisory marketing team, the marketing senior associate will support and execute campaigns that help drive brand awareness, consideration, and conversion (client opportunities) for Advisory. Campaigns and programs should reach all funnel stages and will include a strategic mix of live events, digital tactics, content programs and media partnerships. The marketing senior associate will engage directly with both marketing leaders and senior executives to identify opportunities and drive forward activity with alignment to stated business priorities and Grant Thornton’s growth strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Collaboration, Innovation & Creativity – work with team members across marketing (digital, content, brand and market activation, communications, design, etc.) to support and execute impactful and innovative programs centered on driving brand, engagement & revenue to our target market and priority accounts. Proactively provide and request feedback to marketing team members to gauge needs and effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Be a strong team contributor – actively seek opportunities to engage with team members through meetings, campaign/program execution, and 1:1 opportunities to build a culture of understanding, collaboration & impact.
  • National Campaign Execution – support the effective creation, implementation & execution of national marketing campaigns and programs to support Advisory priorities. Ensure that industry, service line & market initiatives are integrated into compelling marketing plans.
  • Understand the market – understand both the competitive landscape and the market need for services to better identify opportunities, points of differentiation and inform campaign development. Emphasis on customer voice, brand experiences, and customer journey.
  • Event support – support and coordinate planning and execution for virtual event, multi-day conferences and live events.
  • Measurement & ROI evaluation – commit to a hyper-focus on impact & contribution, doing so by demonstrating operational proficiency, consistent KPI tracking, measurement and evaluation of ROI/ROMI for all of our campaigns.
  • Communication – effectively communicate (oral, written and interpersonal) with internal client-serving stakeholders, clients & other external contacts, team members, marketing leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Project Management – support and execute complex, multi-channel marketing programs & campaigns designed to drive revenue and build brand awareness.
  • Intellectual Curiosity/Learning Mentality – actively seek out opportunities to learn from team members and others within the organization; demonstrate a desire to advance marketing acumen and understanding of the business. Serve on a regional or national taskforce or special project.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Post-graduate studies a plus.
  • Minimum 5+ years of marketing or related experience
  • Understanding of the professional services sector preferred but not required.
  • Proven skills working in a matrixed organization and collaborating with internal and external groups, particularly those in senior level/executive management.
  • Has a strong foundation in writing and communications (including presentations), a keen focus on data and ROI for analysis and campaign evaluation, and a strong understanding and experience working with and across marketing functional areas (digital, social, content, design, etc.). 
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of digital tactics that drive effective campaigns is an absolute prerequisite.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; communicates well with all levels of management; comfortable advising and coaching partners of the firm.
  • Exceptional project management skills and a strong adherence to deadlines and commitments; willing to go above and beyond to deliver excellence…on time. 
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of MS (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with marketing technology including CRM (MS Dynamics a plus) and marketing automation tools, email platforms
