We have an opportunity at our headquarters in Chicago for an Affinity Marketing Specialist on our Marketing & Membership Experience team. As part of this team, you will coordinate and execute marketing tactics to help achieve mission, strategic and revenue objectives for the Affinity program. You will communicate activities with key internal and external stakeholders and assists in the development of digital marketing initiative and content strategy. You will also support the Program Manager in maintaining existing business relationships and onboarding new external partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supports execution of marketing tactics

  • Coordinate marketing tactics that span digital, print, video, and events, to drive awareness, engagement and conversion 
  • Assist in the creation of a range of marketing materials, ensuring assets are disseminated and leveraged through appropriate channels 
  • Support the development and coordinate the execution of the marketing calendar 
  • Request content from external partners, review marketing materials for suitability, and provide feedback or request edits as necessary 
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as the graphic team, email team or others, to create and proof monthly email campaigns; obtain internal stakeholder approval as required 
  • Coordinate, collaborate and maintain effective communications with internal and external stakeholders to ensure awareness and alignment on implementation of marketing tactics 
  • Report on marketing analytics across digital channels (website, email, banners), provide updates to internal stakeholders 
  • Support the planning and implementation of testing to improve tactic and campaign performance.

Affinity Partners

  • Assist in the onboarding and launching of new external partners 
  • Participate in monthly marketing calls with external partners to review results, strategy, and upcoming deadlines 
  • Coordinate secure data transfers 
  • Responsible for partner communication in advance of deadlines

Program Growth

  • Monitor performance of marketing tactics, customer feedback, and market trends and interpret results to inform sales, marketing, product and content strategies and plans 
  • Collaborate with Program Manager and internal stakeholders to bring new ideas for messaging, content distribution, and amplification. 
  • Identify opportunities to enhance promotion of the program

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in marketing, advertising, or communications preferred 
  • 1-2 years’ experience in marketing, email marketing, digital publishing or other applicable experience required 
  • Experience in Associated Press (AP) writing style and copyediting 
  • Exposure to analytics; able to use both data and intuition to inform decisions 
  • Ability to think strategically and plan, execute and manage marketing programs that achieve measurable objectives 
  • Well-developed interpersonal, relationship building and maintenance skills. 
  • Well-developed communication skills including, written, verbal, and presentation required to communicate with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Exceptional time and project management skills
