Agency Business Manager & Controller

The Agency Business Manager / Controller provides a host of responsibilities to support an advertising agency. Your primary role will be to anticipate, respond, and control the organizational and financial structure of KHROME and its client projects.

  • Responsible for the business office to include job cost tracking, accounts payable/receivable, phones, mail, deposits, and help with day-to-day needs, project errands and Ruckus deliveries. 
  • Provide excellent customer service to both external and internal customers. 
  • Responsible for all personnel and payroll records, time reporting, legal documentation and confidentiality. 
  • Troubleshoot technology problems as needed. Research and source third-party resources to fill business or project needs. 
  • Contribute to project estimating with business development team by sourcing and procuring estimates for outside services – printing, promo merch, photography, programming, etc. – as needed. 
  • Provide monthly accounting records for financial statement preparation. 
  • Responsible for all accounting practices and other financial controls. 
  • Source, approve, coordinate, and supervise the implementation structure of computers, networks, software, and related business machines. 
  • Report to the President and provide any financial analysis or reports as necessary. 
  • Maintain database of all software, accounts, licensing, and access management. 
  • Be a resource to the creative staff to help maximize their billable time. 
  • Assist President and team with administrative support, booking travel, and miscellaneous errands. 
  • Deliver the Ruckus as needed. 
  • Actively work to mitigate risk wherever possible. 
  • Liaise with outside payroll processing and tax firm. 
  • Readers are leaders – maybe it’s the latest advertising trends and technologies that we can draw inspiration from, or news from or about our area businesses that may provide opportunities, or an article about your favorite pet or yoga pose. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum of a 2-year accounting degree or prior job costing, vendor invoice processing and client billing experience.
  • Prior experience in an advertising agency preferred Agency Financial Manager certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Quickbooks preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and solutions-focused with a positive, professional attitude. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a cross-departmental team. 
  • Must have driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation. 
  • Bonus points for being a good agency proofreader (we have a 21-point checklist) and idea person too!

Salary range: Based on experience.

PTO and 10 paid holidays per year.
