The Office for Development and Alumni Relations at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is seeking to fill a full-time vacancy for an Alumni Engagement Officer.

The Alumni Engagement Officer serves in an important role in Alumni Relations, within the Department of Development and Alumni Relations, overseeing well-established existing Alumni Relations programs. The Alumni Engagement Officer will collaborate with the Associate Director of Alumni Relations and the Engagement Committee on the UWMAA Board of Directors to assess these programs and make necessary changes to increase alumni engagement and volunteerism. The Alumni Engagement Officer will manage an engagement portfolio. The Alumni Engagement Officer will oversee two student workers – one Alumni Engagement Intern and the Future Alumni Network Advisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree earned by date of hire
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and take ownership in this role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Evidence of strong communication skills
  • Self-motivated and strong ability to work independently and negotiate to achieve established goals
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects, meet deadlines, problem-solve, and multi-task
  • Evidence of excellent computer skills, specifically MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated experience in working with social media
