As an application developer your focus will be to create and enhance web-based applications. You will collaborate closely with the I&T team to create solutions that help CHEST reach its goals.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with product owner, developers, testers and analysts in an agile environment, in order to effectively and iteratively build systems, customize applications, and deploy solutions.
  2. Serve as a .NET resource to enhance and support systems and integrations. 
  3. Develop high-quality code for web-based applications. 
  4. Develop and enhance existing integrations using Restful WebAPI. 
  5. Create, enhance, and implement efficiencies to reduce application support costs, deployment procedures, and technical debt. 
  6. Create, enhance, and maintain technical documentation. 
  7. Be available for off-hours implementation and scheduled/unexpected maintenance and support situations.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field 
  • Two to four years of experienceas a developer working with object-oriented programming (OOP), ASP.NET, MVC, C#, .NET core and WebAPI 
  • One year of experience working with TSQL and SQL Stored Procedures. 
  • Experience with developing and building integrations with web services. 
  • Minimum of two years of experience with Visual Studio. 
  • Demonstrable experience following software implementation best practices, with minimum of one year of experience designing and working with n-tier architectures (Business Logic Layer and Data Access Layer )and service-oriented architectures (SOA) 
  • Self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player with the ability to quickly learn new concepts and software as well as existing environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Competencies (not required):

  • One year of experience working with Javascript, JQuery and other javascript frameworks.
  • Experience with TFS or Git 
  • Experience with Agile and SCRUM 
  • Microsoft .NET certifications 
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence 
  • Previous experience with netForum Association Management System or other AMS
