PURPOSE:

The Renewal by Andersen Art Production Manager will assist in the creation of internal and external graphic design-based projects. This role will work under the direction of the Creative Director, and usually work on projects outlined on a creative brief with creative department individuals/resources such as creative professionals, Copy Writers, Account Managers, PR Managers, Marketing Managers, Freelancers and partner ad/design agencies to generate ideas to present to lead project owner. They are likely to work on several projects at once, with the work being fast paced, demanding and highly influenced by real time business, economic and weather conditions.

This role demands the confidence to offer creative and assertive ideas and also exhibit a passion to sell ideas to peers and clients in a positive and sophisticated manner. This Art Production Manager will be key in helping to ensure quality through all core proficiencies of creative services, be it internal or external. This role will also Pro-active in approach, and with a genuine understanding of the visual medium, the role is very ‘hands-on’ and often busy.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evolving Existing ad campaigns or through direction of CD, produce new and effective direct response ad campaigns through commission of specialists such as artists, photographers, set stylists to work on projects and clearly communicate established or collaborative art direction. 
  • Creation of corporate literature - internal employee focused and external consumer focused. 
  • Manage large scale production/projects within budget, on and off location. 
  • Provide digital media graphics support (includes graphics, banner adds, look/feel and not programming/functionality), Corp. URL, APPs, Intranets. 
  • Development of retail/corporate office environmental design (strategies, signage, experiences) non-traditional marketing events (trade shows) corporate events (environmental design/event attendee experiences). 
  • Provide “on-air” TV and graphics support - (broadcast graphics packages, web video, and pre-roll). 
  • Complete typical infrastructure/daily creative services operational tasks including tracking, archiving, applying new efficiencies as needed also applying a rich knowledge of the print industry, process, file set-up, paper, kitting, finishing. 
  • Direction of others may include: Informal leadership of internal and external partners through project management. May provide art direction and input of creative staff as appropriate, and needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • 10+ years of related experience preferred 
  • Flexibility and creativity to adapt ideas to suit client expectations. 
  • Have a thorough understanding of current "arts" trends, photography, typography, printing, basic retail environmental approaches. 
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills resulting in the ability to work well as part of a team and with a range of people or external resources. 
  • Must be capable of travel and work in any given city/location and have excellent computer skills in relevant art and design software packages. 
  • Must be motivated and well organized with a good eye for detail. 
  • Should be able to see other people’s point of view and cope with pressure and criticism to deliver collaborative deliverables
