Reporting to the Associate Director of Digital Communications, the Assistant Director of Digital Communication supports the management of Graduate & Professionals Enrollment Management’s digital presence in support of university’s strategic enrollment goals including development and maintenance of digital content via website, social media and email marketing. This position will play an integral role in implementing and maintaining the new centralized graduate and enrollment website.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Website Implementation and Content Management: Works collaboratively with GPEM staff, implements and maintains a new centralized graduate enrollment website. Writes content for new pages and collaborate with GPEM school partners to optimize their web presence. 
  • Manages Graduate & Professional Enrollment Managements social media strategy, providing strategic insight, utilizing industry best practices, and digital advertising expertise to drive increased engagement of prospective students across major social media platforms. Monitors social media, web, and email analytics and provides strategic recommendations based on data. 
  • Works collaboratively with GPEM staff and school partners to inform, shape, develop and implement a cohesive social media strategy as part of a plan to increase conversion rates across enrolment funnels. 
  • Digital Content Production: Develops and creates a range of high-quality digital media projects, including the conception, execution and delivery of video content, graphic design and messaging for social media, and other creative projects as assigned. 
  • Communications Support: Assists with the execution of miscellaneous digital communications projects. 
  • Performs other duties, tasks and assignments as required.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field. 
  • Experience with digital marketing and communications channels - website, social media, etc.
  • Related experience in marketing, public relations, communications, creating multiplatform, trigger-based communications for enrollment drivers (admissions, advising, financial aid, testing and/or recruiting)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field. 
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and other visual design tools. Working knowledge of current (HTML,CSS, scripting) and emerging technologies. Experience with digital marketing and communications channels - website, social media, etc. 
  • Related experience in marketing, public relations, communications, creating multiplatform, trigger-based communications for enrollment drivers (admissions, advising, financial aid, testing and/or recruiting) 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent organization skills, ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and develop, cultivate, and manage relationships across a complex organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of best practices for online communications and analytics. Excellent copy-writing skills, including web and mobile. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong organization and project management skills. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Experience using CRM (Technolutions Slate preferred)

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and other visual design tools. 
  • Working knowledge of current (HTML, CSS, scripting) and emerging technologies.
