Reporting to the Associate AD, Communications this position will provide content and editing for strategic communications for the Loyola Athletic department, both internal and external. These communications would include regular outreach to alumni from individual sport programs, connection with constituents to drive attendance at upcoming game and events; monthly Letter from the AD; key stories and player profiles for the official website or social media and internal communications to Athletics Department staff. This position will be responsible for serving as the sports communication person for assigned athletic programs responsible for but not limited to: game notes, working competitions, weekly reports/player of the week nominations, releases/stories, and working directly with assigned sport coaches.

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, sport management or a related field. Minimum minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an athletics communications office. Demonstrated experience in athletics communications, experience with producing and managing the design, layout, content and flow of multiple publications for multiple platforms (web, e-mail, podcasts, digital audio & video, digital photography, graphics, social media and print). Work collaboratively with other external relations and digital/creative media staff (e.g. marketing, video, social media) on campaigns and projects.
