About this position

The Assistant Director of Communications is responsible to the Director of Communications for oversight and production of incoming requests for work, working with the Director to delegate assignments, and communicating the progress of the work to those requesting it. In the absence of the Director, they will oversee the office personnel and function as producer. This is a full-time position with a start date in early December.

About our ideal candidate

The ideal candidate is a servant leader who possesses a Bachelor’s degree and is a well-organized self-starter with excellent communication skills. Must have a general understanding of graphic design, printing process, electronic communications, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is helpful but not necessary.

Expected qualifications include exemplary commitment to a local Baptist church, and comfort and commitment to promote biblical principles, both in word and deed, while seeking to prepare godly servants and leaders. Staff Qualifications

We desire staff with outstanding character and necessary skills as well as those who would maintain fundamental Baptist distinctives and ethos. By God’s grace, Maranatha will never knowingly select individuals to staff positions whose beliefs or practices are at variance with Maranatha’s deeply held and biblically supported religious convictions. Therefore,

  • Staff members must be fundamental Baptists by practice and conviction.
  • Individual lifestyles must be in conformity to biblical teachings related to morality and virtue.

Statement of Faith

We believe in:

  • The verbal, plenary inspiration of the Old and New Testaments 
  • God in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; the new birth in Christ alone 
  • Baptism by immersion for believers only 
  • The eternal security of the believer 
  • The Lord’s Supper as a memorial 
  • Six creation days of twenty-four hours each 
  • The bodily resurrection of Christ and His bodily ascension into heaven where He now intercedes for believers 
  • The pretribulation rapture of all believers T

  • The judgment 
  • The reality of heaven and hell 
  • The local church as God’s institution to carry out the Great Commission 
  • The obligation of every believer to live a holy life and witness to the lost of the saving power of Christ.
