Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager – Marketing Communications will play a critical role in developing and executing product and offer promotion in direct alignment with the marketing and company strategy for S&C Electric Company. This position requires a strong strategic and analytical mindset as well as strong written, verbal, and visual communications skills. The Assistant Manager – Marketing Communications reports to the Senior Manager – Marketing Communications.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Leads the marketing communications strategies for key product lines in collaboration with supervisors, product management, commercial leaders, business development, and regional business units, and in alignment with corporate marketing strategy 
  • Develops integrated marketing communications plans with creative, innovative, and high-impact marketing and communications tactics to support strategies, spanning web, email, social media, webinars, infographics, case studies, blog posts, technical papers, videos, and product demonstrations 
  • Develops and directs project schedules, product launches, value proposition development, product marketing collateral, and other product campaign materials 
  • Sets measurable targets for campaigns, monitors progress, summarizes effectiveness, and provides recommendations for optimization 
  • Manages complex projects and collaborates with subject-matter experts and company leadership 
  • Develops and manages budgets for key product lines 
  • Commits to understanding the power industry and S&C’s solutions, and applies knowledge of customer challenges and S&C’s unique differentiators 
  • Builds strong partnerships with Creative Services, Editorial teams, and outside vendors

To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Technical Writing, English, or a related field 
  • Knowledge of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar 
  • Experience and proficiency in proofing and editing content, as well as visual storytelling. 
  • Expertise in project management and a high proficiency for managing multiple projects simultaneously with a commitment to meeting deadlines. 
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint 
  • Ability to manage direct reports and coach/edit work for corporate voice, messaging, structure, visuals, and best practices of communications channels. 
  • Marketing Automation experience a plus

Relevant Work Experience:

  • Eight or more years of experience in marketing communication, product marketing, or marketing operations. 
  • Proven experience working in technically complex industries. 
  • Previous leadership and B2B experience a plus.
