The John Morrell Food Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Packaging Graphics to support the packaging activities of the company. 

The Assistant Manager, Packaging Graphics is responsible for supporting the packaging activities of the John Morrell Food Group and the Associate Packaging Graphics Manager. These activities include managing the development, production and maintenance of all the packaging graphics initiatives, selecting and managing packaging graphics vendors, and maintaining all active and archived graphics files.

Required Skills:

  • Responsible for managing packaging activities for all assigned brands.
  • Establishes and manages project timelines with outside agencies
  • Evaluates project budgets
  • Provide technical guidance and input across multiple printing processes
  • Maintain high quality expectations for design, photography, pre-press and printing
  • Orchestrate review and approval of all proofs and press runs
  • Coordinates projects with marketing, packaging engineers, labeling services and product development

Required Experience: 

  • 4 year degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing or Advertising is required
  • Understanding of USDA and UPC guidelines and standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to function effectively in a team environment.
  • Polished, professional presence is necessary
