Assistant Marketing Manager

The Product Line Assistant Marketing Manager will support marketing initiatives within Nalco Water, supporting one or more product portfolios. Within this role, you will contribute to profitable sales growth and expansion of gross margin of business unit(s) by supporting the creation and implementation of strategies and plans that differentiate Ecolab from its competitors.

What You Will Do:

• Manage a portfolio(s) of products that deliver profitable growth including product lifecycle management and technology roadmap development. 
• Support business objectives by creating and implementing strategies and plans for the assigned product portfolio.Align day to day activities with business objectives and portfolio goals. Make recommendation and drive alignment based on portfolio performance and opportunities. 
• Develop and maintain tools and collateral to accelerate market penetration. 
• Lead Communities of Practice initiatives that seek to couple market research and knowledge of customer needs leading to the development of customer centric innovation. 
• Determine and execute effective solutions to manage product risks to include addressing product supply resiliency and product quality issues, as well as identifying alternative product solutions to meet customer and market demand. 
• Track and report portfolio performance metrics and with recommendation for corrective action.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree 
• 5 years of professional experience in a business-to-business environment 
• Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA, preferably in Marketing with 3 years of professional experiencein a business-to-business environment 
• Bachelor's Degree preferably in an Engineering discipline 
• Strong problem solving and strong analytical skills, comfortable using data 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills 
• Ability to build and maintain relationships and coordinate projects across different functional groups regionally. 
• Solid commercial acumen 
• Attention to detail; strong sense of urgency 
• Experience with wide range of marketing tools, including strategic and tactical product marketing capabilities.
