Position Overview:
The Assistant Producer in the Office of Marketing and Communication creates video content from concept through completion for a variety of media channels, including broadcast media, web sites, social media, digital advertising and events.
The assistant producer is responsible for generating ideas, developing concepts, scripting, coordinating, scheduling on a variety of projects to create video in support of all areas of the campus. In particular, the assistant producer works closely with and supports the Director of Video in a fast-paced, agile environment to ensure that university videos meet objectives, deliver on time, and align with university brand messages and professional standards. In addition, the Assistant Producer manages and/or collaborates with freelance production companies, directors, writers, editors and photographers on a variety of projects.Reporting to the director of digital media, this position develops and designs web sites incorporating graphic user interface features, interactive content, and other techniques.
