In this role, you will support the Video team in the development of cohesive, powerful, and relevant brand experiences. You will ensure the story of the Whirlpool brands is told in a way that drives the Desired Consumer Experience. You will partner with a team of video editors in the daily production of a variety of content that will enhance the customer journey through highly creative aesthetics and standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with a team of video editors throughout the editing process using industry-standard software and technology 
  • Bring ideas and vision to life across a wide scope of unique video projects that reflect and express our brand strategy 
  • Support Sr Editorial team, Post Producers, Creative team, and key brand partners in the creation of powerhouse creative 
  • Deliver end to end on a diverse range of projects, including sizzling product videos, broadcast advertising, and social media edits 
  • Responsible for the design and animation of motion graphics, creating graphics for scalable production to custom animations 
  • Adhere to brand standards, ensuring cohesion and consistency 
  • Gather and transfer all forms of media into editing software and ensure each was updated in the correct format 
  • Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of each video's creation 
  • Improve video and sound quality using various video software 
  • Edit videos to include preselected music, interviews, sound clips and other important aspects of the project 
  • Ensure the correct formatting and presentation for finalized videos according to each client's specifications 
  • Articulate creative intent to others and proactively coordinate with partners and stakeholders to bring ideas to life 
  • Participate in a collaborative working environment across creative disciplines and across the agency

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • HS Diploma or GED 
  • ~3+ years of experience in video editing 
  • A reel of your editing work

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

  • HS Diploma or GED 
  • 3+ years of experience in video editing 
  • Experience with editing software and equipment (Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and Encoder) and experience with After Effects 
  • Experience with sound design and general audio best practices 
  • Proven ability to comfortably work in a multi-platform digital production environment 
  • Experience in design, motion graphics, and audio editing 
  • Advanced knowledge of color grading practices — bonus points for HDR experience 
  • Design and animate motion graphics 
  • 2D/3D animation experience will be given special consideration 
  • Experience with modern encoding and delivery practices 
  • Passion for leading the way in creative content production, with a strong sense of visual storytelling and editorial style 
  • Ability to receive and provide feedback to continually improve work 
  • Problem-solving mentality; self-motivated and confident about editing choices 
  • Ability to “think on your feet,” juggle multiple activities and assignments simultaneously, while still hitting deadlines 
  • Collaborative, generous team player, ready to share ideas and willing to build on the ideas of others 
  • Strong proficiency in Asset Management, video transcoding, and working with a wide variety of media formats 
  • An eye for detail and proven ability to manage projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills 
  • Effective interpersonal skills, good judgment, and the ability to collaborate with different levels of management and creative teams
