The Work You Will Do:

We are currently seeking an Associate Art Director to join our shopper/promotion creative team in Minneapolis. Reporting to the Senior Art Director, the AAD is responsible for working directly with the SAD and other members of the creative team to concept and execute powerful creative that moves consumers and shoppers to act, engage and buy.

Here at Epsilon Agency you will be introduced to the behavior-based shopper marketing landscape. You will learn and develop an understanding of clients, client structure, how a shopper agency works and how we work within that structure. You will learn the ins and outs of successful shopper design: understanding what it is, how it's made and what makes it stand out.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design the aesthetics, visual design and/or layout of client projects.
  • Able to produce basic concepts and execute on direction received from SAD or ACD.
  • Understand and maintain stewardship of client’s look, tone and feel.
  • Demonstrate and understand how the work is executed and begin to drive how it can work harder (messaging, implementation, incentives, optimization, etc).
  • Good sense of aesthetic when selecting stock photography and illustrated art.
  • Demonstrate understanding of design rationale by actively participating in internal presentations to account mgr.
  • Juggle multiple deliverables at one time with senior level guidance.
  • Begin to think strategically in the shopper marketing space.
  • Basic understanding of digital technology, and how to use it to enhance the creative idea. 
  • Alert to social, mobile and developing technologies.
  • Looking for 0-18 months of related experience. Experience with creative agency/professional service is preferred, but not required.
  • Adobe Creative Suite - entry level skills.
  • Understanding of visual elements (layout, type and fonts).
  • Good teamwork skills.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Creativity skills and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Basic presentation skills.
