Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager, this individual will support the Foodservice Potato business in delivering on key business objectives. The Associate Brand Manager will act as a strategic partner with sales, innovation, customer marketing and other cross functional groups to execute new product launches, product renovations or specification changes, packaging design, artwork approvals, SKU and materials management and financial feasibility exercises.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with the execution of annual marketing plans

  • Contribute to the implementation of the foodservice channel strategy for the brands, including objectives, integrated marketing plans, and budgets
  • Partner with internal/external agencies and cross-functional teams on creative development and execution of marketing activations

Manage daily McCain Branded portfolio activities and partner with Commercial Planning and Customer Marketing to optimize overall portfolio and business performance

  • Partner with Sales to manage Portfolio projects specifically for Canadian QSR Chains ( i.e. A&W, McDonalds, Subway, etc.)
  • Develop/Update Marketing Materials to support the selling function ( i.e. point of sale, launch decks, how to videos, etc.)

Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Sales, Culinary, Customer Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance on key potato projects

Support ongoing business analysis and reporting (sales, profits, competitive activity, promotional results, etc.)

  • Collaborate and attend customer presentations with cross functional team, as needed

Support or lead other projects/duties as assigned or needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate Degree. Major in Marketing preferred. MBA is strong plus.
  • Marketing experience in consumer packaged goods or business-to-business environment
  • An understanding of business fundamentals and P&L management
  • High degree of accountability; ability to hold self and others accountable to meet commitments
  • Ability to lead cross functional projects; handle multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Strong financial and strategic acumen, analytical abilities, communication skills, and decisiveness
  • Computer proficiency in Excel (e.g. pivot tables), PowerPoint (e.g. storytelling skills), Word and Data Mining with Power BI and external services.
