The Associate Brand Manager is responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategic go-to-market plans that deliver on financial and brand targets with accountability to deliver the full P&L. This person must partner with the Brand Manager and Director of Marketing Commercialization to drive strong cross-functional collaboration with sales, R&D, consumer insights, and brand equity, embracing an analytical, continuous optimization approach to ensure excellence in execution that drives growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. The Associate Brand Manager will have the opportunity to be the day to day business owner which includes the following duties and responsibilities:

Business Analytics and P&L Management

  • Track and analyze business performance and report on results 
  • Evaluate data and market trends impacting the business to form insights and action plans 
  • Connect relevant consumer information to feed the business planning process 
  • Be the forecast owner and drive identification and quantification of key forecast drivers 
  • Recommend where to place future bets for growth

Brand and Marketing Management

  • Support Brand Manager in leading development of annual brand plans and marketing objectives 
  • Collaborate with consumer insights team to develop foundational insights that ladder up to business and brand strategies 
  • Work cross-functionally with equity, ecomm and sales to evaluate and optimize marketing investment plans that drive profitable, efficient growth 
  • Lead innovation and renovation projects cross-functionally with product development, regulatory, supply chain, sales, consumer insights, and finance for areas of responsibility 
  • Support ad hoc projects on additional marketing initiatives as needed

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Required: Undergraduate college degree in marketing, business or a related field. 3-5 years of relevant work experience with experience in consumer packaged goods marketing within the Food/Drug/Mass and/or Health Food Store channels a plus.

Preferred: Masters of Business Administration graduate degree. Marketing experience with a healthcare or supplements portfolio a plus.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED WORK HOURS

This is a full time position. Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

TRAVEL

This position requires up to 20% domestic travel. Some international travel may be required.
