The Associate Creative Lead is responsible for the development of high-quality, strategically aligned marketing deliverables for clients.

To succeed in their role, Associate Creative Leads must demonstrate marketing and leadership competency in the Brand & Creative department, the Marketing division, and with clients, which include executive leaders, organization staff, and Lion members around the world.

At a high level, Associate Creative Leads are expected to produce and/or coordinate the development of high-quality content across all creative competencies (e.g., copywriting, digital and print design, motion media, email marketing). They must display a growing understanding of creative solutions for marketing initiatives and be able to apply these solutions according to each client’s strategic goals. Associate Creative Leads work closely with Creative Leads and Account Leads, supporting marketing initiatives as growing leaders.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Produce and/or coordinate high-quality content for assigned accounts across all creative competencies (i.e., copywriting, digital and print design, motion media, email marketing)

  1. Receive and execute direction on creative deliverables
  2. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of marketing processes and creative tasks
  3. Collaborate with and delegate to appropriate department staff (e.g., copywriters, designers)

Support Creative Leads throughout the marketing process on all assigned accounts

  1. Participate in the concept development process for marketing campaigns, when applicable
  2. Take ownership of delegated tasks

Develop leadership skills through project-level support from Creative Lead(s)

  1. Reviewing marketing content and providing clear, well-informed feedback
  2. Communicating effectively with project teams and clients
  3. Preparing for and delivering presentations (e.g., creative deliverables, strategic plans)

Improve department processes by providing thoughtful, solution-oriented feedback to Creative Lead(s), Brand & Creative department and Marketing division leadership

Participate in strategic long-range planning in partnership with the Account & Marketing Strategy department

Collaborate with all Marketing division departments throughout the campaign process

Communicate actively and effectively with project teams to keep projects and deliverables on track and on time

Actively participate in client meetings (e.g., presentations, discussions)

Build trust across the organization through excellent, conscientious client service

Cultivate strong working relationships with division stakeholders

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Prefer 3-6 years of experience working with a marketing team or in an agency environment, including experience leading campaign concept development 
  • Experience with marketing tools such as creative software and communication/publication platforms
