Job Description:

As the Associate Design Director, you will be responsible for creating compelling, insight-driven web-based experiences. This is one of the most crucial project roles at Razorfish as it requires an ability both to help lead the project team and the client through a user-centered design process to develop meaningful experience concepts, and to create and deliver those concepts. The ADD is an ideas person who can sell "the big idea" to the client, but who also loves getting their hands dirty in the process.

Responsibilities:

  • Craft clear narratives and goals for the team to deliver on quality work 
  • Develop and frame creative concepts in line with creative briefs 
  • Lead the visual direction of a project 
  • Visualize, design and conceptualize user experiences 
  • Discover target audiences' needs, tasks, and goals and translating them into creative concepts 
  • Translate business requirements into meaningful interactive experiences 
  • Collaborate with UX, copywriters, project managers, other designers and production team to translate wireframes into tangible and compelling experiences 
  • Extend visual systems/brand guidelines across all mediums with moderate design changes 
  • Focus on the people development of team members and foster positive team culture 
  • Guide systems design to strengthen impact for user and business needs 
  • Identify, define and regularly pitch new opportunities to bring value to client engagements
  • 8+ years of digital design experience (web, app, emerging experience etc.) 
  • Must be proficient in Figma, inVision, Sketch, Adobe CC 
  • Advanced knowledge of component-based design-development 
  • Deep Knowledge of Systems Design and current trends 
  • Involvement in all aspects of design development 
  • Demonstrated ability to developbig ideas, and implement them flawlessly in a highly collaborative environment 
  • Experience guiding teams and mentoring careers of associate design team members 
  • Ownership and guidance of your and your teams' overall visual design process 
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills 
  • Must be able to present work effectively to internal and external teams
