Position Summary:

The Associate Director will be accountable for developing the overall brand strategies - plans - and programs and guiding a team through delivery. This position owns identification of powerful consumer insights to unlock growth - whitespace opportunities - new product concept ideas - and impactful communications. This includes broad exposure to all functional activities on the brand- including Consumer Insights - Advertising - New Products - Sales - Operations - and Finance - resulting in strengthened marketing fundamentals and a holistic approach to driving business growth.

Key Components of the Role:

  • Key member of the KHC Marketing leadership team. Manages direct report(s) to deliver business goals and priorities. Interaction with others requires highly developed skills to motivate - inspire and persuade to execute key brand initiatives 
  • Create consumer demand for assigned brands/categories and formulate the brand's long-term strategy 
  • Drive development of portfolio strategy and evolution of the product line to best meet consumer and retailer needs 
  • Execute marketing initiatives in support of long-term strategies through leadership of the cross-functional team 
  • Own development of 3-year innovation road map 
  • Drive new product development including concept - pack - product and go-to-market plans 
  • Manage cross-functional commercialization team to deliver product and packaging changes - including quality improvements - cost reductions and new item launches 
  • Manage negotiations on new product opportunities or developments within set time-scales and budgets 
  • Own development and execution of integrated marketing communications and media plans 
  • Own the P&L for respective brands and categories and accountability for delivering profit - volume - and market share objectives 
  • Manage annual marketing budget and lead annual budget planning for the category 
  • Coach - develop - and motivate direct reports to own specific processes - targets - and deliverables
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field. MBA is not required but preferred 
  • 10 to 15 years of experience (5 years in marketing - product management - or brand management preferred) 
  • Advanced experience in product management - brand management and managing a P&L 
  • Ability to perform trend analysis utilizing raw volume data 
  • Ability to handle simultaneous projects and deliver within agreed upon time frames. 
  • Advanced organizational and project management skills
