POSITION SUMMARY: The Associate Director of Marketing, Digital Content is a vital member of our Marketing team and will manage Milwaukee Rep’s digital marketing efforts, including email marketing, social media, paid social advertising, search advertising, display advertising as well as supporting website management. Position supports the day-to-day operations of the marketing team and is an integral part of reaching revenue goals.

  • Develop digital marketing strategies that drive internal goals including ticket sales, audience growth, engagement, and donations. 
  • Contribute to the building, managing, and optimization of internally run and 3rdpartyrun social media and digital ad campaigns including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Search, Display, and Video. 
  • Provide support for website updates, maintenance, and optimization. Oversee Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Data Studio to ensure proper tracking, analyzation, and reporting of website traffic and digital campaign performance.
  • Manage email strategy and communications including building, deploying, and analyzing email campaigns via Wordfly. 
  • Serve as primary content creator for Rep social media channels. Write and proof editorial content synthesizing information into concise, engaging messaging for target audiences. Maintain a high level of professionalism in creating content and interacting with followers when representing Milwaukee Rep on social media channels. 
  • Oversee streaming platforms such as Vimeo and Youtube, including organizing and uploading video content. 
  • Provide detailed analysis and accurate reporting on demographic, behavioral, and e-commerce metrics for website, email and social media channels as requested. 
  • Based on current analytics, define possible areas for growth and improvement.
  • Monitor trends in emerging media; experiment and adapt strategies and techniques toward meeting engagement and revenue goals.
  • Attend events to serve as Milwaukee Rep’s social media voice and content generator including as example live tweeting, taking photos for marketing and social usage and providing staff support to Rep videographer. 
  • Oversee Milwaukee Rep’s Social Media Club (SMC) Administration 
  • Contribute to Marketing Department’s event planning, coordination and execution. 
  • Supervise Social Media Intern. 
  • Support and collaborate with other marketing team members on a project-by-project basis.
  • Attend staff meetings, marketing meetings and other meetings as required. 
  • Attend Opening Nights. 
  • Other duties as needed or assigned.
  • Qualified candidates will have demonstrated understanding of social media platforms and experience working with a wide variety of people in social settings as well as working in a non-profit environment along with one (1) to three (3) years of non-profit arts experience, a plus if it’s in the performing arts, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or Sales or field related to the performance arts desired. 
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, and an ability to conceive and shape compelling content Proficiency with Microsoft Office, and Google Suite platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of Facebook, Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube marketing Proficiency with social media management tools such as Hootsuite
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) a plus Basic photography skills, or wiliness to learn a plus 
  • Demonstrated experience in basic understanding of HTML code a plus
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn new skills 
  • Highly organized, able to create streamlined workflow structures and processes 
  • Able to prioritize and multitask without compromising quality to meet strict deadlines
  • Creative thinker and problem-solver
