OVERVIEW:

The Associate Director, Strategy & Analytics partners closely with the client as well as internal Planning and Investment teams to develop cross-media measurement strategy. You should have a strong understanding of tools in the media analytics and research space, and will become familiar with internal modeling and technology offerings to recognize project opportunities and help interpret results.

The Associate Director leads a mid-to-large size team. You should have an interest in mentoring and developing their team members, in addition to ensuring deliverables are met. Project management and organizational skills are a priority.

YOUR IMPACT:

Primary responsibilities revolve around providing thought leadership with regards to clients’ measurement strategies as well as managing 3-4 direct reports and ensuring deliverables are met:

  • With support from the Director, manage the approach to data and measurement strategy for given clients, inclusive of construction and maintenance of measurement frameworks, learning agendas, audience-first roadmap, etc. 
  • Support the design, management, and application of third-party research and measurement solutions (i.e. ad effectiveness, sales and footfall lift measurement, ad verification, etc.)
  • Lead mid-senior level client relationships, inclusive of support on strategy, presentation and contextualization of results, etc. 
  • Proficient in most of the below systems & tools but with a focus on data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau), ad-servers & buying platforms (e.g. Sizmek, Prisma), ad effectiveness (e.g. Survata, KMB, Nielsen), R/F measurement (Nielsen DAR|TAR) 
  • Working and/or proficient knowledge of data governance practices including data QA, general media naming taxonomy, data & platform integration, etc. 
  • Provide mid-size team and direct reports with all the necessary tools and training to improve upon existing expertise 
  • Support POV development on industry topics and provide thought leadership on data privacy laws, third-party measurement tools and space, consumer marketplace, vertical expertise etc. 
  • Working knowledge of balance between brand and demand channel media; eCommerce experience a plus but not required 
  • Expert project management, multi-tasking, organizational, and process-oriented skills a must

YOUR SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Experience with most of the following tools required:

  • Data Visualization: Datorama, Tableau, PowerBI 
  • Web Analytics: Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics 
  • Ad Servers: Sizmek, DoubleClick, Flashtalking 
  • Data Management Platform: Adobe Audience Manager, Krux 
  • Ad Effectiveness Research: Survata, Lucid, Kantar Millward Brown, Nielsen, comScore
  • Additional Third-Party Measurement Solutions: Location measurement partners (i.e. FourSquare, PlaceIQ, Cuebiq), Sales (Visa/Mastercard, Oracle, IRI, NCS) 
  • Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint 
  • Familiarity with: SQL, SPSS, R, Python a plus

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors or advanced degree in Statistics, Economics, Business, Math, or Sciences is preferred 
  • Minimum of four to five years’ experience preferred 
  • Experience managing a team 
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication abilities 
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships with other cross-functional teams 
  • Ability to manage and prioritize competing projects and deliverables
