The Associate Licensing Manager is a highly collaborative member of the North American Growth Office focused upon strategic execution for licensing partnerships. As the keeper of this crucial component the Associate Manager will own the tactical internal strategy to ensure successful brand activation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Own outbound licensing strategy that is comprehensive and integrated with Partnerships/Collabs strategy and supports critical metrics 
  • Build inbound licensing strategy to support broader team strategy & objectives through effective negotiation terms of deals - check-ins on programs - reviews of concepts & products as needed 
  • Meet regularly with cross functional partners such as Brand Comm & Platform leads to drive alignment on strategy/execution on both inbound and outbound deals - and discuss future needs 
  • Partner with KHC legal and accounting to ensure accuracy in contracting - negotiations - and other legal protocols are completed for deals 
  • Manage/direct licensing agency efforts & maintain/build KHC's roster of licensing - partnerships and collaboration contacts 
  • Support KHC Finance teams to ensure proper payment & reporting for all royalty earnings
  • Bachelor’s Degree required 
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in licensing that drives and understanding of the dynamics - best practices/benchmarks and strategic value of licensing in order to prioritize deals pursued 
  • Proficient understanding of brand strategy and of how licensing can build or dilute brand equity 
  • Agency management skills to direct and prioritize agency partner time and efforts 
  • Strong communications skills to work efficiently with internal parties (brand & legal) 
  • Strong process orientation to ensure proper quality - safety protocols are followed (DSA - Plant Audit - 3rd party consumer safety evaluation - etc.)
