Associate Manager, Campaign and Integrated Communications-Hybrid

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Manager, Campaign and Integrated Communications located at our corporate office in Bloomington, MN. This individual contributor role supportsthe planning and creation of advertising assets for Dairy Queen, as well as the development and execution of the brand’s integrated marketing communications campaigns, with a focus on digital integrations.

The Associate Manager plays a key role in working with cross-functional teams, including DQ’s creative agency, to smoothly execute behind-the-scenes aspects of the brand’s productions. This position is responsible for managing numerous campaign project schedules and driving efficiency where possible. DQ is a content creation powerhouse with approximately 40 productions annually! It is essential that campaign work is integrated across channels and this position assists in managing that continuity with a focus on creating awareness for our digital technology (i.e. digital ordering, delivery, app). The ideal candidate will have excellent organization, communication and project management skills. They will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where they will be required to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously and accomplish these tasks with high level of detail and accuracy.

This position reports to the Senior Campaigns Manager and has frequent interaction with Dairy Queen’s Integrated Communications Managers.

Primary Accountabilities Include:

Campaign Production Planning & Coordination

  • Manages the planning and review of production schedules, in partnership with DQ’s Senior Campaigns Manager and creative agency. 
  • Manages creative development timelines and ensures key milestones are met. 
  • Keeps the Marketing Communications team informed of current and potential production problems, gathering key stakeholders to troubleshoot and identify solutions. 
  • Liaising between DQ’s creative agency agencies and Marketing Communications team, coordinates key project milestones talent reviews, location selection and other important production elements. 
  • Assists in the review of campaign and production assets including pre-production reviews.

Digital and Integrated Campaign Integration

  • Champions the integration of digital products into campaigns as appropriate. 
  • Seeks opportunities to grow our digital ordering business and market the service with our fans. 
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with the MarTech and Product & Brand Marketing teams on campaigns and marketing communications initiatives to advance our digital technology and ordering business. 
  • Advance marketing communications integrated communications projects as needed. This can include product integrations, licensing, activations, and campaign analysis.

Campaign and Marketing Communications Coordination

  • Advances campaign work by managing the review schedule, collecting feedback and following up with agency partners. 
  • Handles communications and logistics for Marketing Communications/Agency meetings such as strategy meetings with DQ agency partners, annual planning workshops, etc. 
  • Oversees the development of quarterly presentations and sizzle reels for DQ franchisees, created by the Marketing Communications team and its agencies. 
  • Facilitates the production of printed marketing materials for major annual meetings between DQ and its franchisees. 
  • Stores and maintains record of integrated advertising assets in multiple formats. 
  • Monitors asset usage and identifies opportunities to innovate or drive efficiency.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent combination of education and relevant production work experience 
  • 3-5 years of previous marketing communications experience in an agency or corporate environment, required, ideally involving food and/or beverage products.


  • Above average spoken/written communicator with strong organizational and project management skills 
  • Highly effective collaborator with multiple levels in an organization 
  • Self-starter with the ability to take direction from multiple individuals 
  • Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and requests simultaneously, within an intense, deadline-driven environment 
  • Well organized with a high attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Ability to work quickly and independently, in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
