As Associate Manager, Global Employee Communications you will help support internal communication initiatives that drive awareness, invoke a sense of pride, and help employees feel connected, inspired and invested in the company’s future. You will play an important foundational role within the Global Corporate Communication function, helping develop engaging content consistent with the company’s narrative and help push messages across all of SCJ’s internal channels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help drive the employee communication strategy, ensuring consistent application of the corporate narrative to drive awareness and support of corporate initiatives. 
  • Oversee management of the internal digital signage network inclusive of editorial calendars, content development and design. 
  • Manage internal newsletters for varying stakeholder audiences, inclusive of project management, content development, design, leadership approvals and distribution. 
  • Support management of internal events. 
  • Proofread communications. 
  • Identify communication opportunities and curate content designed to engage and inspire employees. 
  • Support a variety of communication programs with creative brainstorming, planning, execution, and measurement. 
  • Maintain working knowledge of new communication technologies/services and best practices. 
  • Maintain responsibility for Global Corporate Communication resources, historical files, etc.

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field of study. 
  • 5+ years of communications experience in a corporate or agency setting. 
  • Experience with digital communication platforms.

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; including editing and copywriting. 
  • The ability to simplify complex information into engaging content; effective storyteller. 
  • Experience with photo and/or video-editing software a plus. 
  • Familiarity with presentation and graphic design software (PPT, Adobe, etc.) strongly encouraged. 
  • Strong project management skills. 
  • Adaptable and humble, willing to take on projects big and small. 
  • Strong technical understanding of communication channels and trends. 
  • Superior organization and exceptional attention to detail. 
  • Demonstrate initiative, self-starter, able to work independently and in team settings. 
  • Willingness to accept new challenges, embrace processes and deadlines. 
  • Responds well to feedback and revisions. 
  • Successfully prioritize workload, and concurrently manage multiple projects without compromising quality.

Job Requirements:

  • Full-time. 
  • This is an on-site position with some possible remote work options. 
  • Able to travel 5-10% of time. 
  • Remote work is available once a week for eligible employees
