Minnetonka, MN is home to our Michael Foods, Inc. corporate headquarters. Associate Marketing Manager, Distribution & Education

The Associate Marketing Manager of Distribution & Education will be responsible for developing and executing strategies designed to grow our education food service business, along with managing select portfolio initiatives with key broadline distribution partners. In this role, the Associate Marketing Manager works closely with marketing and sales leadership to not only analyze segment, customer, and category performance, but make recommendations and manage initiatives that realize key growth objectives for Michael Foods and our customers.


  • Analyze industry data specific to key broadline distribution partner and the education segment to develop, launch, and track growth strategies. 
  • Work closely with our distribution partners and the sales team to align on key growth targets and report back on results. 
  • Research and maintain a working knowledge of key nutritional, regulatory and other menu requirements for the education segment in order to develop go to market strategies, training tools and sales materials. 
  • Manage a portfolio of egg and refrigerated potato products for a key distribution partner and serve as the project manager on any necessary product development, specification, formulation, packaging, or brand adjustments needed for our distribution partner or the education segment. 
  • Actively monitor and evaluate the metrics associated with distributor brand performance, including volume, market share, distribution trends and other market data. 
  • Support the larger marketing team to align product portfolio needs with larger sales and customer segment strategies. 
  • Maintain all required images, marketing messages and other product data that is published directly to our partners and their eCommerce sites for assigned portfolio.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or a bachelor’s degree in related field with marketing experience. 
  • 2+ years of product or segment marketing experience, with a preference for previous experience in the food industry. 
  • A strong collaborator that can deliver results by working closely with, and at times managing, large groups of cross-functional team members. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications. 
  • An ability to not only understand data but translate it in a clear, concise, and compelling way. 
  • Requires an ability to analyze sales projections and forecasts as well as understand basic P&L management. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
