Join the marketing team at CHS and become part of a global agribusiness, owned by farmers, ranchers and cooperatives across the United States. CHS is seeking an Associate Marketing Specialist to support the ag business division of the company (includes global grain and fertilizer risk and trading, supply chain, and processing operations).

The position will support marketing initiatives designed to drive growth, brand awareness and customer engagement. This role will work closely with marketing, communications and business stakeholders. Candidates should be an organized contributor and communicator who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone with proven creative thinking, effective project management, and a desire to grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside marketing team to support marketing campaigns and programs aligned with CHS ag business objectives and business strategies, working directly with internal clients 
  • Provide strategic support in the creation, publication and communication of important marketing materials, such as sales sheets, product guides and other strategic support materials. Work with design team to execute on development of these materials. 
  • Brainstorm, develop, implement and execute programs and promotions alongside marketing team to drive sales growth 
  • Oversee digital marketing channels, including select Facebook, Twitter and website accounts, developing content calendars and drafting content, executing digital advertising campaigns, and offering recommendations to increase effectiveness of efforts 
  • Coordinate campaign metric reports and effectively track campaign effectiveness. Help to provide insights for continuous improvement and identifying new opportunities. 
  • Follow and help refine approval processes to ensure content meets business objectives and regulatory requirements, follows appropriate editorial style guidelines and meets brand standards. 
  • Support business-specific ag tradeshow event planning

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • 0+ years of marketing communications or equivalent experience 
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing or ag business 
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail 
  • Relationship building skills 
  • Ability to manage and track multiple bodies of work occurring concurrently 
  • Ability to exercise discretion and judgement in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

Additional Qualifications

  • Understanding of, or interest in, production agriculture 
  • Working knowledge or experience in agriculture marketing 
  • Experience with marketing techniques and strategies
