Associate Media Director


We’re an award-winning, full-service marketing communications agency, located in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Listed as one of the Milwaukee area’s top 25 agencies by the Milwaukee Business Journal for the past eight years, we’re seeking an experienced Media Planner/Buyer to join our team.

We serve a wide range of consumer and B2B clients and specialize in social marketing campaigns for the public sector. From advertising and promotions to mobile marketing and branding, we work on integrated campaigns as well as projects across diverse industries in Wisconsin and throughout the U.S.

Associate Media Director
Southeast Wisconsin
Pewaukee, WI
  • The Associate Media Director collaborates with the Media Director on research, planning, and placement of all clients’ traditional and digital media campaigns. 
  • Assists in establishing appropriate media tactics and budgets for clients, and able to establish trust and build rapport with agency clients and media sales representatives and other professionals. 
  • Attends to all administrative functions and paperwork required to carry out assigned media functions, which may include traffic orders and reconciliation reports. 
  • Reports to the Media Director.
  • Help identify target audiences and plan media campaigns 
  • Compare and negotiate traditional and digital media rates 
  • Develops and execute timely placement of all media schedules Interacts professionally with sales representatives in the evaluation of potential media vehicles 
  • Issues insertion orders for every insertion placed (making sure that a hard copy of the order accompanies the artwork) 
  • Establishes deadlines for materials needed and reports deadlines to the creative, production and account service departments 
  • Maintains all digital and hard copy resource and media files, backing up and updating constantly
  • Maintains agency media schedules and issues all media reports 
  • Promptly approves all media invoices to be forwarded to agency Accounting Manager for client invoicing 
  • Obtains and forwards tear sheets (if required) to accounting to be mailed to client with corresponding invoices 
  • Constantly maintains digital and hard copy media, client and tear sheet files 
  • Alerts media director/account services of special media offers/placement opportunities, etc.
  • Archives online all media insertion orders, including cancellations, date, size changes, etc., for access by client service teams 
  • Maintains current software program skills related to the performance of daily job functions
  • Proficiency at negotiating added value media spots or promotions on behalf of our clients
  • Associates Degree or above preferred 
  • Proven experience as Media Planner/Buyer; experience in digital media is preferred 
  • Proficient in MediaForce or similar media buying software 
  • An analytical mind with aptitude for statistics & math 
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with firm-specific programs and software 
  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and organization 
  • Professional, dedicated and collaborative individual 
  • Able to work well under pressure and strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task
