Job Description:

Plan and execute annual plan to target B-to-B audiences who are critical to company’s continued success. Immerse yourself in minds and work lives of business partners. Develop compelling messages and delivery vehicles. Team with internal leaders to distill objectives, create and deploy integrated plans to partner with business customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop deep understanding of key b-to-b audiences’ businesses and pain points.
  • Construct messaging to cut through and drive response.
  • Explain complex concepts and new ways of thinking to key audiences to drive understanding, and “I can’t live without them” moments.
  • Build annual integrated plans, budgets and deployment calendars. Tactics include: social media, advertising, trade shows, white papers, bylined articles, events, SME speaking engagements, new business presentations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling communication strategies and constructs that explain functionality and benefits.
  • Plan and leverage relationships/engagement with associations/conferences to drive brand awareness and propel place in the market.
  • Develop asset library to drive seamless, efficient, on-message communications.
  • Write and edit compelling content including bios, customer case studies, presentation decks, landing pages, outbound email campaigns, white papers, published articles and bylines, blog posts, social media pieces, sales collateral, etc.
  • Cultivate deep relationships with various industry trade press/associations/thought leaders to keep company top of mind.
  • Collaborate with internal design and support resources, as well as external resources (e.g. PR agency).
  • Develop concise briefs that drive all related creative/messaging efforts.
  • Lead execution of various elements of plan through cross-functional teams; ensure program deliverables are executed across multiple communication channels.
  • Assist in development of all multi-media, PowerPoint, video for campaigns and events.
  • Work with designers, speakers and third party vendors to accurately communicate and deliver event and campaign strategy/messaging.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in marketing, English, creative writing, or journalism.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in B2B marketing communications– corporate or agency.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Pride in work.
  • Able to think quickly and write creatively.
  • Able to synthesize complex information into succinct actionable messages.
  • Budgeting, project management acumen.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
