B2B Marketing Account Director
Twin Cities Metro
St. Paul, MN

We’re seeking a well-rounded senior marketer with a blend of exceptional skills in client service, marketing strategy and sales.This position requires a creative idea generator with the confidence and persuasiveness required to sell innovative marketing strategies to meet client objectives. The individual must have proven results successfully managing client accounts through selling, building and executing B2B marketing initiatives that fuel client growth. Strong demand generation and digital marketing background required for this role.

This full-time position is virtual-based, but will require occasional local travel to attend in-person team and local and national client meetings. The individual must be based in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro.

This role is tasked with the following core responsibilities:

  • Oversee a book of business worth a minimum of $1M - $1.5M annually – directly managing assigned client accounts with a focus on client retention and repeatable, consistent account growth 
  • Manage the client relationship, including onboarding of new clients, leading all client calls and setting the strategy for each owned account 
  • Lead account planning for assigned clients and build formal account plans to constantly mine for additional sales opportunities – identify and sell growth opportunities within client accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals 
  • Gain understanding of client’s business requirements to develop comprehensive marketing strategies that meet the client’s objectives 
  • Solicit feedback and monitor client satisfaction of assigned accounts 
  • Address client issues and concerns; identify appropriate steps to resolve issues 
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with client accounts to showcase results of marketing programs and pitch new strategy ideas and concepts 
  • Ensure that GrowthMode Marketing’s KPIs are being achieved across all assigned accounts and that high standards of quality are met or exceeded with our clients
  • Candidate must have bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, communications or related specialization, master’s degree preferred 
  • A minimum of 12-15 years of experience in a B2B marketing role with progressive responsibility that includes senior roles 
  • At least 5 years of experience working in roles on the client side 
  • At least 2-3 years of client management experience within an agency setting in a quota carrying role 
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to develop, retain and grow client programs 
  • High level of knowledge across all marketing disciplines; especially in the areas of demand generation, digital marketing and marketing technology stacks 
  • High level of self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously 
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize a high volume of simultaneous projects 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level 
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on client needs 
  • Exceptional sales skills with demonstrated experience growing revenue from client accounts 
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
