B2C Digital Marketing Manager

As a member of the Financial Services Marketing Team, this position is responsible for managing the digital execution designed to attract and activate consumers in Optum programs in order to achieve program participation and value targets. This position will have direct involvement in developing and deploying digital content in all markets.

Additionally, the ideal candidate must have demonstrated the ability to execute against multiple projects and excel in a fast paced, results oriented work environment. You must be highly motived, rollup your sleeves, self-starter with a passion for communicating in new and disruptive ways. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute digital content that is consumer centric and data driven, to activate and engage consumers in Optum Financial Services programs, in order to achieve program goals and objectives.
  • Help develop or lead digital content that is both standard and custom. This position will have direct involvement with Product and other cross-functional teams to deliver omni-channel engagement strategy and achieve desired level of consumer engagement that spans across one or more business units.
  • The Digital Marketing Manager will develop, test and implement online strategies that cross web, social media and mobile platforms in partnership with the Campaign Manager and Custom Marketing and Communications Manager to execute on campaign plans and communications strategy to engage consumers in new and disruptive ways. 
  • This role will challenge your ability to work on complex projects where deadlines and scope can shift frequently. You'll need flexibility, agility and the ability to adapt to change while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders in a highly cross-matrixed environment.
  • Partner with IT, portal and brand experience teams to ensure marketing programs are implemented with a seamless user experience. 
  • Execute A/B testing, monitor results and modify strategy accordingly. 
  • Lead and coordinate consumer research required to gain member insight 
  • Anticipate customer (product) and marketplace needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them. 
  • Manage a large volume of simple to complex projects for several constituents across the Financial Services organization. 
  • Build collaborative partnerships with internal business clients in all functional areas of the company. 
  • Align and socialize collective objectives and detailed project plans for key product registration and digital consumer experience across the organization. 
  • Assist in the development of strategic plans, value propositions, business cases, operational requirements and branding guidelines. 
  • Identify and drive cross promotional/integration opportunities across the Financial Services product suite to drive activation and efficiencies. 
  • Participate in and activate process improvements related to work, including partner processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) 
  • 4+ years digital content strategy development and execution 
  • 5+ years social media and consumer research experience 
  • 5+ years consumer marketing, consumer product management and/or marketing communications work experience in a matrix organization 
  • Cross-functional project management experience 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including; Project (developing a plan/timeline, assigning resources to tasks, tracking progress); Excel (data entry, sorting/filtering, pivot tables, create new, edit/save spreadsheets, add charts/graphs/pictures/formatting); Visio (basic table query operations); PowerPoint (create new, edit/save presentations, conducting presentations, add charts/graphs/pictures/transitions); and SharePoint (document access, upload/sharing, storage)
  • Familiarity with a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and frequent changes. 
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills across a wide range of groups and functions.
