The UW-Milwaukee, Peck School of the Arts' Box Office Manager will oversees all functions of the box office including personnel management, budget and fiscal management, records management, purchasing,and information technology.

Official Position Title: UNIVERSITY BUSINESS SPECIALIST

Working Title: BOX OFFICE MANAGER

This position will oversees all functions of the box office including personnel management, budget and fiscal management, records management, purchasing, and information technology. The Box Office Manager will also be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the School's new e-ticketing system. Furthermore, this position leads and manages the customer relations and sales aspects of the box office, which includes hiring, training, and overseeing student sales staff.

Additional duties include purchasing and maintaining appropriate inventory of all necessary operational supplies; maintaining box office hardware and equipment; purchasing equipment needed for ticketing systems; and assisting in marketing and development activities.

Highly qualified candidates will have knowledge of and experience in box office management, including patron services, fiscal management, and e-ticketing services. Necessary qualifications include strong oral communication skills; skill in maintaining online information; and the ability to navigate a complex system of accounting, procurement, and information management requirements.

This position requires skill in using Macintosh Computers and Personal Computers (PC); as well as skill in the following software: Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint), ticketing systems (e.g., Wintix, Seat Advisor, etc.), Handkey Software, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Remote Desktop, automated time-keeping software, Scheduling Software (e.g., Milum Office Tracker, Astra Scheduling Suite, etc.) and web-based email and calendaring systems.

Additional abilities required for this position include the ability to work effectively with a variety of people; the ability to meet deadlines and shift priorities as needed; the ability to respect varying viewpoints; and the ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines. This position requires the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Starting annual salary between: $35,291-$58,232, plus generous benefits package.
