Key contributor in Solo brand’s strategic plan development and execution for the CP Business Team. Key areas of contribution include brand/category analytics, strategic brand building, communications strategy & execution, consumer insights & action plans, media strategy and innovation go to market strategy & execution. This role will be responsible for uncovering the consumer’s needs and wants in their focus area and leveraging those insights to create winning consumer marketing/advertising strategies and initiatives that will result in long term brand loyalty and accelerated profitable share growth for the CP Business. Key contributor in high profile innovation projects in the development and execution of strategic go to market launch plans.

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Working with Senior Brand Manager and other Brand Manager partners, develop Brand Building initiatives in collaboration with CP Business teams that are consistent with the CP Business goals, priorities, strategies, and brand equities. 
  • In collaboration with Brand partners and SBM, responsible for category and brand performance analytics, the planning and execution of brand strategy, annual marketing plans, consumer learning plans, brand communications and new product go to market plans.
  • Consistently execute against established brand style guides, brand guidelines, brand vision, brand voice and brand value proposition. Responsible for implementing consistency across all efforts and communicatons through collaboration and alignment with Corporate Marketing, eCommerce, Product Line Management and outside Agencies. 
  • Participates in the development of robust consumer decision journey mapping, defining the journey, the consumer mindset and the problems consumers look to solve through all the different stages of that journey. Takes insights to drive strategic approach to how we approach our communication strategy. 
  • Responsbile for working with Brand Team, CP Business Team and Marketing to develop Solo brand communication that aligns with overall brand strategy, defining and driving strategies to support who the target consumer is, what products or messaging best meets its needs at what stage in their journey and determining what vehicles are most effective in delivering that message to the target consumers 
  • Responsible for supporting Product Strategy & Management team with both evaluative and predictive analytics using both primary and secondary data sources to deliver deep consumer understanding and to provide innovation white space product opportunities. 
  • Effectively manage agency partnerships on key projects to deliver on timelines and objectives. 
  • Partner with Corporate Marketing team to develop and execute digital marketing plans that deliver on CP Business team goals. 
  • Responsible for establishing marketing KPI’s, monitoring and measuring performance and analyzing overall ROI of marketing activities. Provides monthly updates to cross functional partners. 
  • Contributes to the development of annual marketing/advertising plan budget for the Solo brand. Once approved, manages the execution of the plan, and course corrects as necessary throughout the year to ensure maximum ROI on dollars spent. 
  • Provides creative services to Product team for product naming/branding, logo development, packaging design & communications and print design development. 
  • Collaborate with Field Marketing and eCommerce to develop and execute customer specific programming to support overarching brand goals. 
  • Provide ecommerce and digital marketing content services teams with key consumer attitudes and usage data and guidelines for all product lines to maximize brand communication across all platforms. 
  • Collaborate with Innovation and Product teams in the development of strategic innovation roadmaps and pipeline development for the Solo brand. 
  • Provide recommendations on pricing strategy for the Solo branded products.

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Business, Marketing, or Communications; Master’s Degree, preferred 
  • Five (5) years work experience in brand strategy with strong digital experience preferably in food/beverage sector. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary in order to persuade and influence decision making of individuals, groups, or work teams 
  • Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix 
  • Data driven thinking 
  • Ability to think strategically and see how parts interact with the big picture 
  • Ability to translate insights into action plans. 
  • Experience using retailer scan data analysis programs such as Nielsen or IRI 
  • Experience working on brands sold in the Mass, Club, Grocery and eCommerce channels 
  • Ability to streamline processes, integrate, and associate pieces of information gathered from multiple sources and apply to projects 
  • Ability to collaborate with team members 
  • Ability to utilize business sense and creativity to develop new ideas and solutions 
  • Ability to effectively present to an audience
