Brand Manager - Marketing and Strategy

Marketing is at the heart of where we make our decisions. Marketing understands the consumer- asks questions- finds answers and takes the extra step to work towards a vision for future success of our brands while driving revenue and profit.

The Brand Manager - Marketing & Strategy will help with crafting demand for the Kraft Heinz Claussen business and help with formulating the long-term strategy and developing and implementing marketing plans. They define the businesses product mix- pricing- packaging- trade merchandising- advertising and promotion strategies and allocate the budget accordingly. They complete marketing initiatives in support of long-term strategies with help from the business unit team. Accountable for delivering the profit- volume and market share objectives. This position assists the business unit team on assigned business in all aspects of the P&L.

Key Components of the Role:

  • Apply consumer insights to develop multi-year Growth Plan and strategic vision for the brand- highlighting key tactics to drive growth such as innovation- renovation- comms.
  • Drive organizational influence and resource prioritization to bring Growth Plan to life. 
  • Build consumer and customer demand for the assigned business and define the long-term strategy. 
  • Be an owner- liaison- and gatekeeper of brand strategy- guiding internal and external partners to ensure all efforts performed across the marketing mix (including comms- shopper marketing- PR and ecommerce) bring our brand purpose to life. 
  • Lead in development and execution of the Annual Operating Plan including defining the brand's portfolio pricing- packaging- trade merchandising- advertising and promotion strategies and allocating the support and budget accordingly. 
  • Implement marketing initiatives in support of long-term strategies through managing the cross-functional team. 
  • Own the P&L for the respective business and drive accountability for delivering profit- volume- and market share objectives. 
  • Oversee analysis and reporting of performance across various Key Performance Indicators. 
  • Head cross-functional commercialization team to deliver innovation and renovation- including quality improvements- packaging updates- cost reductions and new item launches as needed. 
  • Lead conversations on new product opportunities or developments within set time-scales and budgets. 
  • Provide field sales tools- materials- and training on brand/product introductions or improvements- as well as new marketing/sales campaigns- to achieve sales targets.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business- Marketing- or related field; MBA with Marketing emphasis preferred 
  • 7+ years’ experience in marketing- product management- or brand management preferred 
  • Prior experience managing a P&L preferred 
  • Ability to influence management- lead cross functional teams- handle simultaneous projects- and work through others 
  • Outstanding verbal- written and interpersonal communications skills 
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
