POSITION PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Director, Brand Management, this position will be responsible for the brand management and growth of specific OWI brands, to unlock and unleash the full potential of these brands, within US and within select international markets.

DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead all aspects of brand management of assigned brand(s) – development of overall brand strategy, consumer insights development, brand positioning, development of brand architecture, brand archetype development of marketing plan and managing the execution of marketing plan including national consumer promotions and advertising campaign development, management and optimization of media plans and measurement of media investment to ensure ROI delivers against industry benchmarks 
  • Build the equity of assigned brand(s) by driving relevance and consideration with existing consumers as well as emerging consumers 
  • Assess opportunities for brand expansion to target new users and usage occasions 
  • Support product management and innovation teams for the launch of differentiated and innovative, new product launches and category expansions by developing and accessing new product concepts, packaging graphics development, development of integrated marketing campaign that will drive consideration, repeat purchase and stimulate enhanced brand loyalty 
  • Stay current on market trends including emerging media, consumer usage and habits, competitive trends, and channel trends 
  • Be brand champion and voice of the brand(s) with all stakeholders (e.g., internal associates, channel partners such as retailers, agency partners etc.) 
  • Collaborate with channel teams to develop breakthrough channel marketing initiatives that will drive consideration, purchase, and repeat purchase for OWI brands (e.g., point-of-sale materials) 
  • Collaborate with channel teams and category teams to develop account specific presentations and brand growth strategies for major strategic partners (e.g., major retail accounts) 
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and category management to lay-out annual strategy for growth, including promotional planning to help support OWI revenue plan. 
  • Assist in conducting ongoing customer / market research to help establish pipeline of innovative products. 
  • Grow the capability of the organization by improving processes and approaches and building organization knowledge in marketing. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

  • A minimum 2 years in classically trained CPG environment. Automotive experience a plus. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or general business is required. 
  • Need to demonstrate strategic thought leadership, entrepreneurial/creative mindset, and be results oriented to measure success 
  • Must have brand management and marketing skills for building world-class brands – experience in development of brand architecture, development of annual marketing plans, development of agency briefs etc. is a must 
  • Must be willing to work in an ambiguous environment 
  • Must be detail oriented, have excellent time management skills, and be able to multitask. 
  • Advanced PowerPoint, Word, Excel skills required. 
  • Must have demonstrated organization aptitude with assertive and action-oriented work ethic. 
  • Strong, proactive, interpersonal, written, verbal communication and team skills. 
  • Ability to think strategically, scope tasks and set goals.
