We are looking for a Brand Manager with a high energy to drive a consumer centric brand experience agenda and win in a fast-growing cannabis industry. We are on a mission to improve people’s lives through cannabis.

As a Brand Manager for Verilife, matter. and matter.lite, you will have the opportunity to build iconic brands in multiple US markets for an accelerated and sustainable growth trajectory.

To drive growth for the business, the Brand Manager will support the Brand Director to champion the brand experience and be responsible for the brand positioning, brand architecture, brand guardrails driving long term consumer engagement across Pharmacann’s house of brands. We are looking for a future forward thinker and innovator who desires to grow in their career with a passion for cannabis and working in an evolving industry.

This customer-obsessed marketer will help to drive the Brand Agenda for Verilife, matter., matter.lite, and future brands to achieve strategic goals within the marketing business unit and across the enterprise.

The Brand Manager will assist the Brand Director build the Verilife, matter. and matter.lite consumer brand experience. Passionate about branding and consumer engagement, the candidate will diligently work to align our brands, products, retail and digital experience to the brand positioning and target consumers. The Brand Manager will help to foster partnerships with the Digital and Marketing Services assisting with the creation of a best-in-class marketing plan.

A collaborator comfortable in agile or sprint-based approaches, that thrives in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and the ability to multi-task and thrive in a complex and highly regulated industry.

This position will report directly to the Brand Director.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Help Brand Director to build and lead strategies to drive consumer lifetime value, engagement, and loyalty for our current and future brands.
  • Assist with developing and implementing integrated communication plans to embed our brands in key cultural movements and deliver against business objectives. 
  • Foster and sponsor innovation, identifying new opportunities that will revolutionize how people view cannabis. 
  • Collaborate closely with the members of the Digital Marketing, Marketing Services and Product Management teams. 
  • Elevate the consumer experience by executing brand touchpoints from digital to brick and mortar. 
  • Focused on data and consumers, the candidate will help to plan, execute, and track all brand BIG IDEAS and campaigns. 
  • Increase brand market share and brand awareness for Verilife, matter., matter.lite and future brands. 
  • Assist to develop a plan for 360 engagement experiences that serves our medical patients and adult use consumers for all markets. 
  • Drive the successful development and execution of brand plans to deliver against overall goals and financial targets. 
  • Help to lead brand and engagement agency relationships. 
  • Maintain cutting-edge knowledge and insights of the cannabis industry and competition to continuously identify potential partnerships and new opportunities.
  • Proven track record of successful brand building and working on high caliber teams; Experience creating new brands or working in a start-up environment is a plus. 
  • 5-7 years of experience with minimum 2-3 years of brand marketing experience; Cannabis or CPG experience a plus. 
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, branding, communications, or other related fields. 
  • Requires experience in integrated communication strategies, contextual brand integration and/or brand positioning work. 
  • Ability to motivate and inspire others specifically cross-functional teams and agencies. 
  • Collaborate deeply with Digital and Marketing services teams. 
  • Proven experience leading, developing and launching compelling and successful brand campaigns in North America, specifically the US. 
  • Knowledge with Branding, Positioning and Consumer Engagement. 
  • A collaborator comfortable in sprint-based approaches, that thrives in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and the ability to multi-task in a complex and highly regulated industry. 
  • Strategic and creative thinker who can proactively problem solve and contribute solutions with precision and deep understanding of the brand marketing ecosystem.
