Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, the Brand Manager will be part of a fast-paced, growth-oriented team, responsible for driving growth strategies and delivering breakthrough innovations for Standard Process customers & consumers. This position is responsible for leading and developing direct reports, coordinating and analyzing product related activities, designing and implementing marketing campaigns, and providing product marketing support for our sales organization.

This position is within the Product Marketing team which is the hub between marketing, product innovation, commercial analytics, and sales.

Functions:

  • Take charge of developing business and portfolio strategies for key SP Health Interest categories and products, identifying priorities & developing workstreams against them. 
  • Provide strategic leadership, motivate, and manage a cross-functional team to drive business priorities. 
  • Manage, develop, and provide guidance and direction to direct reports including setting job expectations and monitoring performance. 
  • Participate in training and frequent mentoring and coaching. 
  • Work on a brand team, where you will play a critical role in driving profitable growth, inclusive of P&L ownership. 
  • Engage with the sales team to provide thought leadership for HCPs and other e-tailers and drive omnichannel strategies, with a focus on delivering growth via 360-degree HCP growth plans and digital commerce. 
  • Partner with key SMEs (subject matter experts) in developing high impact, integrated marketing campaigns and innovation concepts through clear brand strategies and briefings. 
  • Develop and activate against customer and people-centric insights, driven by a keen understanding of culture, customers, and data synthesis. 
  • Assist in developing and implementing effective brand-building strategies and marketing plans and campaigns that will increase brand awareness, trial, and repeat purchase, as well as HCP recommendation. 
  • Help develop and optimize marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotions. 
  • Coordinate activities associated with campaign plans for new and existing products. 
  • Partner across cross functional teams to implement launch strategies. 
  • Participate and assist in the end-to-end process to guide new products through their gate reviews, adhering with 5P best practices (Product, Price, Promotion, Placement (aka omni-channel) and Professional Recommendation) 
  • Analyze industry, competition, and market trends. 
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • Master’s Degree preferred

Experience:

  • 7-10 years of experience as a Brand Manager or related position 
  • Experience in the commercialization of new products 
  • Leading, managing, and developing direct reports 
  • Experience in the health and wellness, supplement, or pharmaceutical industry 

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of product marketing tactics (e.g. integrated marketing campaigns) 
  • Knowledge of digital & social media, advertising, and brand management 
  • Knowledge of industry trends in marketing and consumer psychology 
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively within a team 
  • Skills in Microsoft Office programs 
  • Skills in research and analytics
