Job Summary:

This position will work alongside the Plant Based Food & Beverage team to develop a winning strategy and will be responsible for building brand equity for a growing portfolio of national brands. This includes P&L management, analyzing sales data and market insights to develop and execute integrated marketing plans and grow the product portfolio.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Develop strategies and tactics to drive revenue and profit growth for assigned brands.
  • Achieve revenue and profit targets and develop contingency plans to overcome challenges.
  • Develop pricing and trade promotion strategies for internal brands. 
  • Analyze brand performance and category/customer/competition dynamics to optimize the product portfolio and achieve annual sales and profit objectives. 
  • Develop and launch new products based on consumer and category insights, and work collaboratively with R&D, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to commercialize winning products. 
  • Analyze consumer trends and research data to develop product strategies and go-to-market plans. 
  • Develop marketing programs and action plans to grow brands and build competitive advantage and consumer value. 
  • Measure ROI of marketing programs. 
  • Analyze complex business data and situations and develop a range of solutions. 
  • Execute long-range strategic plans and annual operating plans. 
  • Work cross-functionally to execute brand management strategies and deliver results.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business; MBA or Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of brand marketing and/or product management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment and for a major CPG food company 
  • Eight+ years of Product Management and Marketing Management experience, preferably for a major CPG food company within the US selling to the leading food retailers and food service customers.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong financial acumen with a proven track record of delivering revenue and profitability growth. 
  • Experience in natural and organic food and a solid understanding of food and manufacturing.
  • Strong project management skills 
  • Experienced with pulling data and reports from financial and sales reporting systems and creating analyses. 
  • Excellent communication skills, customer service and analytical skills 
  • Strong initiative and a strong desire to achieve results. 
  • Consumer-centric thinker – superior understanding of Sales and Consumer Insights 
  • Strong Leadership Potential – critical that the candidate can assume additional responsibilities in the future which may include assignment scope expansion and promotion within the organization. 
  • Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving – considers various points of data and points of view collected from others and considers both short and long-term impact of actions.
  • Management Skills – demonstrable experience rallying a team behind initiatives and ensuring that all details are diligently managed from ideation to commercialization.

Travel Requirements:

  • This position requires up to 20% travel.
